It’s the season of giving – to those we know and those we don’t but need a helping hand. At Ancor, giving back to the community is part of our DNA. We take tremendous pride in our rich history of helping local organizations with our time, talent and donations.
Though it’s been difficult to continue this tradition the last couple of years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our team has rallied to ensure that we are still providing support to those in need within our community. In fact, we recently donated three network switches, worth approximately $2,500, to Common Ground, the largest provider of mental health crisis services in Oakland County. The switches were needed for the non-profit organization’s Resource and Crisis Center in Pontiac. We were happy to help out.
This recent activity, along with the following, shows the selflessness of our team in supporting our communities throughout the years.
Raised nearly $760 and donated 300 gifts to HAVEN, an organization providing shelter, counseling, advocacy and educational programming to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Collected and donated nearly 1,700 canned/boxed food items for local food pantries
Provided more than 72 volunteers to a local urban farm
Raised more than $6,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Walk
During this time of year when we cherish those we love and all we have, it’s important to remember those who are less fortunate. The Ancor team wishes you and yours a safe, happy and healthy holiday season.
